Lions Club
|
The Richford Lions Club was
chartered October 15, 1958.The Club has been active over the
years in many community projects ranging from Little League
to Lions Twin-State Soccer; Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl,
Scholarships, and the "Welcome" sign over the
Town's bridge. They also contribute to Old Home Days on the
Fourth of July Weekend, sponsoring fireworks, a chicken
Bar-B-Que, and an auction. |

Richford Historical Society
|
The Richford Historical
Society has recently reorganized and has acquired the 1908
fire station. The Society's plan is to both preserve the
building as their home, and utilize it as the Fire Station
Museum, (to be renovated through local donations and fund
raisers), which will then contain artifacts pertaining to
the history of Richford. The Society has received
enthusiastic support from the community and its members meet
monthly. |

Beautification/Image
Committee
|
The Richford
Beautification/Image Committee is committed to continually
improving and enhancing the image of the Richford community.
The committee, which meets monthly, provides and cares for
all the flowers and trees lining Main Street in summer and
Richford's Christmas lights displays during the holidays.
They are also instrumental in numerous other community image
projects throughout the year. |

The
Farmers' Market
|
The Richford Farmers' Market
is one of the community's newest additions to the town's
many activities. The Market has enjoyed an extremely
successful start with produce vendors, crafters, and bakers
all participating. There are usually additional activities,
demonstrations, or bands playing in the Park's gazebo.
Market hours are from 9 AM to 1 PM every Saturday in Davis
Park during the summer. |

PTA
|
Richford has a very active
Parent Teacher Association. Our goal is to enhance the
learning experience and promote the well being of all
children. RPTA accomplishes this through support of programs
and special events such as "The Student of the
Month", an annual Halloween party, a Science Fair and a
Easter Egg hunt. RPTA is a member of the National PTA and
Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each
month in the Richford Elementary school library starting in
September. Free childcare is provided. Please come join us! |

The
Masons
(Missisquoi Lodge # 9)
Free and Accepted Masons of Vermont
|
The Masons are the oldest
operating organization in Richford. The Missisquoi Lodge
first met in Berkshire on July 21, 1814, and relocated to
Richford in September, 1866. (It was the only Lodge in the
state to have met regularly from 1831 to 1850.) The
Missisquoi Lodge meets on the first Tuesday of the month and
is renowned for its regular support of the Shriner Hospitals
for Crippled Children. |

Knights of Columbus
(St. Anthony Council # 2610)
|
St. Anthony Council #2610 was
chartered June 13, 1926.The Richford KofC Council sponsers
many annual activities running from January through the
Christmas season. These activities include donations to the
local food shelf, summer camp fund drives, a Tootsie Roll
Drive to raise money for special children, and the
distribution of food baskets to the elderly and needy of the
area during Christmas. |

Senior
Meals/Senior Nutrition Program
|
The Richford Seniors have been
meeting for over 22 years at various community locations to
share a meal and enjoy pleasant conversation with peers. The
organization is also affliated with the Meals on Wheels
program through Champlain Valley Agency on Aging, Inc. For
