The Richford Community Fund Inc. (RCFI) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization created to provide financial assistance for economic and community development activities within the Town of Richford.

The RCFI was developed during the Richford 2010 process -- a year-long, community-based project to develop a long-range strategic plan for Richford's revitalization.

"A responsive community of promise, which encourages and rewards a balance of traditional ways and new ideas.” This vision statement was developed and adopted through Richford 2010.

Five principles guide attaining this vision:

1. Create and promote a vibrant, attractive downtown.

2. Maintain a steady population and balance of generations, with a range of good housing options.

3. Create a proactive community well being program that includes recreation, culture, wellness.

4. Make Richford a regional center for lifelong learning.

5. Create a respectful community.

Specific projects have been identified to help achieve the vision. Financial support is needed and that is the purpose of the Richford Community Fund.

The RCFI intends to raise funds through private, corporate and foundation support to create an endowment. The investment proceeds from the endowment can then be contributed to existing organizations (the Health Center, the Library, the Richford Economic Advancement Corporation, the Town, etc.) to carry out the activities that will support and revitalize Richford.
