SELECTBOARD MEETING
RICHFORD, VERMONT

SEPTEMBER 15, 2008

Vice-chair
Linda Collins called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 PM with
members Mary Mankin, Robert St. Pierre and Norris Tillotson present.
Also present were Laura Ovitt, Joanne Daigneault, Joshua Aldrich and
Tim Green.

Motion made by Mary Mankin, seconded by Robert St.
Pierre, to approve the September 8 minutes as presented. The motion
carried unanimously.

Robert St. Pierre reported the South Richford Road ditching/drainage project has started.

Norris Tillotson reported the school will be using the playground as a practice field for soccer. Volunteers will mow the field.

Linda
Collins reported more damage has been done to the Town Hall pillars.
Laura will find out if any photos are available. Mary Mankin asked
about charges for use of the auditorium. The board tabled the
discussion until all members are present.

Mary Mankin reported
Dmitri Hudak had obtained prices for the concrete cover and access to
the water/sewer lines in the flume on Main Street. Norris and Robert
reported the town can pour the slab in place for less. Norris will
proceed.
Mary reported the water line under the bridge has been
sandblasted. When the tent is removed the line will be welded and
insulated.
Mary reported the EPA will require bacterial quantity testing twice a month for the next 12 months.
Mary said she will have the rate schedule ready for the next regular meeting.
Mary reported repairs are being made to meters at the rate of 4-5 per week.

The board was reminded of the special public safety meeting at 7:00 PM on Sept. 23 at the Emergency Services Building.

Joanne Daigneault asked about any progress on the Smith Road culvert. Robert will follow-up.

Matthew Wills would like the retaining wall behind his property replaced, and will discuss sharing costs.

Motion made by Robert St. Pierre, seconded by Mary Mankin, to adjourn at 7:45 PM. The motion carried.
